Petra Joy is a German-born British female porn director who has been making erotic films since 2003. Her work is self-described as “art-core” with a focus on female pleasure and the female perspective. Her features are primarily vignette-style – individual scenes with no linking story. Petra’s porn features straight couples, bisexual men and women and group scenes, with a focus on safe sex and mutual pleasure. She also seeks to depict male bodies in an objectified way, from a woman’s point of view.

Bio

Petra originally worked in German television. In 2003 she created Strawberry Seductress, a glamour photo and film production company and her first film, Sexual Sushi, followed in 2004. She has also published several books and made documentaries about female porn filmmakers. In 2009 she created the Petra Joy Award to encourage first-time female erotic filmmakers. The award went to Ms. Naughty (aka Louise Lush). She has also curated the Her Porn series of DVDs featuring the work of various international female porn directors.
